- ➤ Local American Red Cross volunteers helped eight people — including seven children — after a fire at Live Oak Plantation Apartments on Waters Avenue in Savannah on April 23. Savannah Business Journal
- ➤ A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning on Ogeechee Road near I-516—he was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead while police confirmed the nearby school bus was not involved. WJCL
