- ➤ Kroger stores in Savannah and the Lowcountry are collecting new and lightly used coats and blankets from Friday through Saturday, Dec. 26-28 to help local families stay warm this winter as donations go to nearby shelters or community organizations. WTOC 11

- ➤ Savannah kicked off a weeklong Kwanzaa celebration last night with a unity event where community groups gathered in local venues. The festivities will continue through next week with plans for food, music + art displays. WTOC 11
