ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A house fire at 6:29 a.m. on Saturday along the 10300 block of Middleground Road displaced six residents — fire crews quickly knocked down the flames and no injuries were reported while the Red Cross was notified for assistance — and the cause remains under investigation. WTOC 11
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ A new law will ban over 95% of hemp extract products by limiting THC to 0.4 milligrams per container, a sharp drop from the current Georgia allowance that lets each product contain up to 10 milligrams. - ➤ Early Wednesday morning, veteran D’Angelo Shaw was shot while working security at Lucky’s Pub and later died, and his community honored him through an 'order up' fundraiser started by Rachael Aldinger—45-year-old Jeremy Scarth is in custody as authorities continue the investigation and additional fundraisers have been organized for his family. - ➤ The average gas price in the Lower Atlantic region dropped last week to $2.78 per gallon—down from $2.82—and is about 9% lower than the national average; it was 5% lower than a year ago, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Savannah Morning News

- ➤ Healthy Coastal Neighborhoods released a new database and cookbook to help local anglers learn safe ways to prepare fish from the coast of Georgia.
