- ➤ The West Broad Street YMCA will have a digital learning center funded by AT&T that gives free access to 15 computers and wi-fi — a new resource for the community. It will open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and is part of a plan to launch 100 centers nationwide by 2027. WSAV
- ➤ The Savannah Pride Center lost $30,000 when several corporate donors pulled support, affecting its funding for services and the upcoming festival. The Pride Festival will take place in Forsyth Park Saturday from noon until 11 p.m. + the center is now asking the community for financial help amid a turbulent political climate. WSAV

- ➤ Data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that pedestrian deaths are rising this fall as daylight saving time ends on Nov. 2 — drivers often fail to yield right of way. - ➤ Former Georgia football tight end Arik Gilbert was arrested Thursday in Savannah on shoplifting and obstruction charges — his $3,500 bond was set and it remains unknown if it was posted — and he has a record of similar legal issues. Savannah Morning News
