- ➤ The Lions Club of Savannah is donating a 7-to-8-foot Frasier Fir tree to a Marine's family with a $100 donation and raising funds for humanitarian services for the sight impaired—Marine families on Parris Island and at MCAS Beaufort will receive holiday cheer. The club said its Christmas Tree Lot will open on Saturday, November 22nd at 9:00 a.m. in Daffin Park next to the tennis courts for those seeking a personal holiday tree. WSAV

- ➤ Two Bryan County firefighter medics, Kimberly Royer — Derek Wilson, were honored by the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire on Thursday evening for negotiating with an armed suspect during a hostage incident last year that rescued a local woman. Savannah Morning News

- ➤ Rocky's NY Deli and Italian Catering will hold its 4th annual San Gennaro in the South event today in Sandfly from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The festival features Italian street food, live music, and eating contests including a 4 lb. - ➤ The City of Savannah and the Chatham-Savannah Authority for the Homeless cut the ribbon on 39 fully furnished transitional cottages on the east side to aid employed individuals facing housing instability.
