- ➤ For October, Safe Shelter and College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk and Moving are partnering to offer free moving and furnishing services to domestic violence survivors in Chatham County—helping victims leave abusive situations—and giving them a fresh start as domestic violence deaths have risen this year. - ➤ The Savannah Greek Festival celebrated 74 years of food, dance and giving by drawing thousands to St. Paul’s Hellenic Center, and co-chair Tommy Danos said volunteers began preparing right after last year’s event ended—proceeds also supported local nonprofits.
