- ➤ Savannah’s beloved Forsyth Park fountain will be reinstalled on Tuesday, Sept 16 as Robinson Iron begins the restoration ahead of schedule after a month-long closure for its first overhaul since 1988. WSAV
- ➤ On Sunday, Savannah firefighters gathered at Enmarket Arena to complete the 3rd annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb and honor New York City’s fallen first responders from 9/11. - ➤ Migrant Equity Southeast and immigrant rights groups held a press conference at the Episcopal Diocese in Savannah Monday to address the nearly 500 workers detained last Thursday at the Hyundai Megasite in Bryan County—officials have not yet provided further details as the investigation continues. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After 11.79 inches of rainfall in August—nearly double the normal average—Savannah increased its stormwater and sewer maintenance to ease strain on underground systems and address sinkholes that disrupted traffic. City crews deployed vacuum trucks to clear inlets and have resolved 13 minor and two major sewer spills in 2025. WTOC 11
