- ➤ A boil water advisory in Savannah led officials to close chemically untreated splash pads on Saturday in neighborhoods including Hudson Hill, Live Oak, Victory Heights, Avondale, Hull Park, Tatemville, Forest Hills and Crusader. Splash pads at Ellis Square, Forsyth Park and Savannah Gardens as well as pools at Daffin Park, Tompkins Regional Center and W.W. - ➤ Savannah City Council approved a rezoning plan for Highlands—covering a 9.8-acre site for new apartments and retail—after a close 5-4 vote at Thursday's meeting amid concerns over traffic and school delays. - ➤ The city of Savannah lifted the boil water advisory for customers east and south of Garden City after tests found no coliform bacteria—customers in west Savannah and surrounding areas must continue boiling their water until further notice.
