- ➤ Family Promise of the Coastal Empire halted new intakes after a faith-based partner said it could no longer provide shelter, leaving five families in limbo while community partners helped move them into temporary housing. - ➤ Great Dane Trailers, a Savannah company that began in 1900 as the Savannah Blow Pipe Company, celebrates 125 years of building trailers including the first refrigerated trailer used in World War II and for shipping COVID-19 vaccines — a sign of its lasting role in moving goods.
