  • Years of shifting sands have carved a no mans land between Van Horne Avenue and the beach on Tybee Island's north end. Vegetation and a sandy path now mark the evolving landscape behind Lighthouse Point (the old dune line).  Savannah Morning News
  • A 10-acre ownerless tract on Tybee Island that homeowners associations have maintained to control invasive Chinese tallow is being considered for conservation zoning this summer.   • Drivers on I‑95 and I‑16 face delays this week as GDOT reduces lanes for an interstate improvement project that began Sunday and continues through Saturday, June 6. Motorists should exercise caution due to intermittent closures both day and night.  WJCL
  • Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport will receive $10 million in federal funds today for upgrades to its baggage claim, ticket lobby & Savannah Square. Lawmakers secured the funding through the bipartisan infrastructure law to boost accessibility and comfort for local travelers.  Savannah Morning News
