- ➤ Volunteers planted 26,000 flags at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force’s Memorial Garden in Pooler as part of a Memorial Day tradition that will run through the weekend—nearly 300 helpers finished the work in two hours and the museum will hold an official opening ceremony this Friday at 10:30 a.m. WJCL
- ➤ The City of Savannah will kickoff 100 Days of Summer programming on May 23 at Daffin Park Pool at 3 p.m. with a free pool party featuring music by E-93’s DJ, food, drinks, games + giveaways, while Community Services, the Police Department and the Fire Department will offer camps, arts camps, sports leagues and an outdoor movie of Inside Out 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Forest Hills Park. - ➤ A woman crashed her car off Glenn Bryant Road onto Fort Stewart's railroad tracks after a medical emergency on Wednesday evening, damaging the tracks; officers and military investigators responded while she was taken to Liberty Regional Medical Center. WJCL
- ➤ OSHA reports show that in less than three months, two workers died at the Hyundai Megasite in Ellabell—one fatality occurred when an unsecured load on a forklift fell, and a second worker died in a separate incident as officials investigate the events. WJCL
