ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two minors were injured in an explosion on North Copperfield Drive on Wilmington Island on Monday evening when an accelerant was thrown on a fire; one minor with burns to the hand and arms was taken to Memorial Hospital (stable condition) while the other with burns to the chest, abdomen, leg, and arm was airlifted to Augusta Burn Center. - ➤ Savannah police responded at 2:55 a.m. to a ShotSpotter alert on the 700 block of E. 53rd Street after a woman reported a home break-in and shooting that left a man seriously injured—19-year-old Jamile Pointer was arrested for burglary and is not charged in connection with the shooting—and the investigation is ongoing.
