ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Two minors were injured in an explosion on North Copperfield Drive on Wilmington Island on Monday evening when an accelerant was thrown on a fire; one minor with burns to the hand and arms was taken to Memorial Hospital (stable condition) while the other with burns to the chest, abdomen, leg, and arm was airlifted to Augusta Burn Center.  WJCL

  • Today, Savannah Harbor Innovation Partnership, the Y Center and Georgia Southern University's Business Innovation Group started a two-day Corporate Innovation Lab event in Savannah that brings students, early-career professionals and entrepreneurs together with corporate leaders to solve real-world business challenges.   • Savannah police responded at 2:55 a.m. to a ShotSpotter alert on the 700 block of E. 53rd Street after a woman reported a home break-in and shooting that left a man seriously injured—19-year-old Jamile Pointer was arrested for burglary and is not charged in connection with the shooting—and the investigation is ongoing.  WJCL

  • Savannah-based artist Dusty Joy will perform his hour-long Bigger Show on May 25 at The Episcopal Center with special guests, interactive props, costumes and live music from unusual instruments.
