  • Chatham-Savannah’s 2026 PIT Count shows progress in the homelessness response with 582 individuals counted and unsheltered cases down 62% since 2023.   • Visit Savannah representatives traveled to Fort Lauderdale on May 19 for IPW, a major travel industry tradeshow. ECONOMY NEWS

  • Today, the Port of Savannah saw a 14% drop in April container volumes from record levels last year, and officials announced a $53 million grant to develop a new lay berth at Hutchinson Island — an effort expected to boost future cargo operations.  Savannah Morning News

  • Benedictine's golf team recovered after a weak start to finish third in the Class 4A state tournament at The Savannah Golf Club Tuesday, May 19.
