CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Isaiah Goodman, a 35-year-old Savannah man charged with 27 dog-fighting counts and murder charges from a 2020 case, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in a Chatham County courtroom & will move forward to a jury trial while remaining held without bond. WTOC 11

- ➤ Coastal Heritage Society announced plans for the Savannah Children’s Museum’s first indoor expansion on May 13th (the announcement came yesterday) and said the project will add new exhibit space for kids (more details to follow). WTOC 11
- ➤ Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, May 21st to place 26,000 48-star American flags at the museum's Memorial Garden — each flag honoring a fallen airman from the Mighty Eighth Air Force. - ➤ Work is underway in Port Wentworth to build a new Anchor Park that will feature the Ice Cove ice arena and a 5,500-seat outdoor amphitheater for summer concerts. City officials say construction traffic will delay drivers on I-95 until early June and plan to add a shuttle service from Savannah later. WTOC 11

- ➤ Hyundai donated $150K to support young patients at the Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital - $50K went to a child passenger safety program while $100K funded pediatric cancer research; children later marked a handprint ceremony on a Hyundai vehicle to symbolize their fight against cancer.
