ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Savannah police closed Abercorn Street near Largo Drive today after a cyclist riding outside a crosswalk was hit by a driver who left the scene—officials ask motorists to use alternate routes while they investigate. WJCL
- ➤ Savannah Police responded to a pedestrian accident downtown on Sunday night at 9:00 p.m.—one lane in both directions on Abercorn St. and Largo Dr. was closed while injury details remain unknown. WTOC 11
- ➤ A house fire on the 2000 block of Gugel Street displaced one person last Sunday afternoon—firefighters responded to the incident and the cause remains unknown. WTOC 11
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 17-year-old suspect, Nicholes Holbrook, accused of setting fire to five Wilmington Island homes was granted a $1,500 bond on Friday and transferred from jail to a treatment facility in Augusta where he faces the condition that leaving early will revoke his bond and completing the program will require wearing an ankle monitor.
