- ➤ The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive ended Saturday when mail carriers collected groceries near neighborhood mailboxes that volunteers later sorted for hundreds of local families. The drive—now in its 33rd year—works with Second Harvest to help keep food in the community. WTOC 11

- ➤ Friday night storms knocked down trees on the 300 block of Sullivan Street—neighbors reported a loud boom around 11:30 p.m. when one large tree brought down a cable line, and power crews arrived around 2 p.m. to restore service. WJCL

- ➤ The Kessler Collection broke ground on a new dual-brand hotel in Richmond Hill that will include a Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott, a standalone restaurant and a drive-thru Starbucks. The development—styled around the American road trip—will create 100 jobs and take 15 to 18 months to finish hotel construction while adding growth opportunities to Bryan County.
