- ➤ On May 10, residents will fill blue grocery bags with nonperishable food items and place them by their mailboxes—letter carriers will collect the donations for the 33rd Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. The contributions will go to Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, which will use them to help serve summer meals starting June 3. WSAV

- ➤ A child was hit Monday morning at Elgin Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in Savannah when a vehicle struck them while crossing the road—causing a head injury that led to treatment at Memorial Health University Medical Center while the driver remained on the scene as SPD investigates. WJCL

- ➤ Chatham County DA’s office announced Monday that Kasey Dyak was convicted for a 2019 rape at a Savannah woman’s apartment—he cut the screen door, took her phone, and DNA evidence from a Florida probe linked him to the case. WTOC 11

- ➤ A study by Serve & Savour found that Georgia’s favorite margarita is the Traditionalist, served on the rocks with classic lime flavor, Jose Cuervo, and a salt rim while the nation’s favorite is the Chill Sophisticate, a frozen drink with Patrón. - ➤ A detailed high school graduation schedule for Coastal Empire and Lowcountry schools has been released, listing ceremony dates and times from May 10 to June 7 for both public schools (including Chatham and Liberty systems) and private schools.
