  • The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society will host JOY Prom Savannah 2026 on May 8 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Savannah, offering a structured prom experience for individuals with Down syndrome and various abilities.  Savannah Business Journal
  • Tybee Island officials managed large crowds at Crush Reloaded this weekend by boosting law enforcement, adjusting traffic, and enforcing cleanup permit rules to keep the event orderly (local residents noted a calmer atmosphere compared to previous years).  WJCL
  • Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors presented a $1000 Matthews Children’s Foundation grant to the Jack Kolbush Foundation today.   • Nominations for the 73rd Ashley Dearing Award were announced yesterday by organizer Karl DeMasi in Savannah.
