ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Seven days after a worker fell from the I-95 bridge into the Ogeechee River while painting its underside, multiple agencies are expanding their search—his body still has not been found. WTOC 11
- ➤ Pooler Police responded to Hamilton Grove Pool around 6 p.m. Sunday after reports of a 5-year-old boy becoming unresponsive — he was resuscitated and taken to a local hospital as detectives spoke with witnesses. WTOC 11

- ➤ On Saturday, GSP troopers on Staley Avenue in Savannah spotted a white sedan with no tag and when the driver fled, the vehicle sideswiped another car causing a crash; a trooper used his taser—he arrested the suspect and took him to a local hospital for his injuries. WTOC 11
- ➤ On Thursday night, District Attorney Shalena Cook Jones and nonprofit leaders gathered at the Coastal Georgia Center at 305 Fahm St to talk about how to help crime victims with resources such as forensic interviews, counseling, and more law enforcement funding — about 40 to 50 community members attended the free panel. - ➤ Mystic Aquarium released 22 rehabilitated sea turtles into the Atlantic Ocean off Jekyll Island on April 10. The turtles—14 green, six loggerheads and two Kemp’s ridley—were rescued from Cape Cod and cared for before being transported with help from the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. Savannah Morning News
- ➤ Today, Dulany Industries announced that the Georgia Environmental Protection Division has removed the former Kerr-McGee Pigments site, HSI #10641, and the Deptford Tract Landfill site, HSI #10179, from the Hazardous Site Inventory List at SeaPoint Industrial Terminal Complex in Savannah—after completing a $38 million remediation on 755 acres that led to a March 18 reclassification. - ➤ House Bill 399 passed in the House and awaits Gov. Brian Kemp’s signature to require large property investors to hire local brokers and give tenants property manager contact information.
