- ➤ Bryan County first responders are still searching for the man who fell Monday while painting the underside of a Highway 17 bridge over Ogeechee River using drones, boat teams and sonar equipment—officials said they will work through the weekend to find him. WSAV

- ➤ Wawa will open its first Chatham County store in Pooler on April 24 at 1480 Pooler Parkway; the event will include festivities such as a ribbon cutting at 8:30 a.m. and a Hoagies for Heroes contest—Wawa plans to build more than 26 stores in Georgia over the next five to eight years. - ➤ On Saturday the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force hosted the Voices of Freedom Mobile Recording Studio to gather wartime accounts including Vietnam veteran Gilbert Terry who shared his experience flying a Huey helicopter (he served with the 155th Assault Helicopter Company). Recorded interviews were scheduled in advance and held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in collaboration with Americans in Wartime Experience. Savannah Morning News

- ➤ Young women who attended last year's Camp Ignite returned for a one-day fire training at Camp Reignite by the Savannah Fire Department yesterday. They raced through obstacle courses and climbed a 70-foot ladder — building fire safety skills in a hands-on setting. Savannah Morning News
- ➤ The Savannah Convention Center Authority and City Council amended a hotel-motel tax agreement to allow tax revenue to repay bonds for a planned hotel on Hutchinson Island + the agreement now extends to 2058 to support a project that will add 445 rooms to meet growing demand.
