  • Tybee Island will host Crush Reloaded spring break event on Apr. 18; city officials say the one-day festival will feature extra security, sanitation and an additional ambulance, with 27 officers & state agencies helping to manage traffic and crowd control.  WTOC 11

  • Startup Savannah has opened applications for GRIT pitch!, a competition for local entrepreneurs during Small Business Week. Participants will have 3 minutes to pitch ideas for $5,000 in cash prizes at The Clyde Venue on Thursday, May 7.  Savannah Business Journal
  • Allegiant Air will close its base at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport on Nov. 2 due to seasonal demand changes — it will still run flights during peak times.  WJCL
  • NaRobia’s Grits and Gravy closed its doors Apr. 6 after serving Savannah for 23 years. Locals remember its hearty grits and savory gravy as a key part of the community's food scene.  WTOC 11
