- ➤ Law enforcement is gearing up for Orange Crush on Tybee Island set for Saturday, April 19th; the city worked with event organizers to secure a one-day permit while over 150 officers and extra security will cover the island all weekend due to expected large crowds and potential disruptions—new traffic measures will be in place to prevent last year’s gridlock. - ➤ Mayor Van Johnson joined Senior Citizens Inc. on March 28 to deliver meals as part of the March for Meals campaign—an effort that raised awareness for Meals on Wheels in supporting coastal Georgia's older adults.
