- ➤ A new study from SmartAsset shows that Savannah’s cost of living fell by 0.9% over the past year while Augusta-Aiken and Dalton saw rises of 6.7% and 6.16% respectively. SmartAsset analyzed price changes across 236 cities nationwide. Savannah Morning News
- ➤ The Georgia Highway Contractors Association will host the Road Jobs Career Fair at Richmond Hill City Center on Friday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at 520 Cedar Street in J.F. - ➤ The Georgia House passed HB 1199 to suspend the gas tax for 60 days (163 for, 4 against), which may lower regular gas by about $0.33 and diesel by $0.37 per gallon. The bill now heads to the senate before it goes to Governor Brian Kemp. WJCL
- ➤ On Wednesday, March 18, McIntosh County commissioners held a listening session on Sapelo Island where eight speakers urged restoring a 1,400 sqft maximum and offering tiny home options for Hogg Hummock; the county will compile input from three sessions before holding public hearings on new zoning.
