- ➤ Since January 2023, Bryan County EMS has responded to 91 emergency calls at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America construction site—recording serious accidents including a man injured on March 3 who was flown by helicopter and a fatal fall in April 2023—while Hyundai maintains that strict safety protocols are in place. - ➤ A woman was fatally stabbed yesterday at about 1:20 p.m. on Middleground Road near Tibet Avenue—police arrived and found her with stab wounds while the investigation continues. WJCL
- ➤ Savannah Police are investigating a shooting on the 1200 block of New Castle Street where one man was injured at around 1:20 p.m. Saturday — the victim reported he was shot from a moving vehicle and refused treatment, and no arrests have been made. WTOC 11

- ➤ Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp declared a State of Emergency on Saturday at noon to prepare for a severe weather front that moved through late Saturday and early Sunday morning. The order authorizes GEMA/HS to activate the State Operations Center and mobilize resources—crews are on standby and price gouging is banned, and it will expire at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18.
