- ➤ Memorial Health and the HCA Healthcare Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia council to expand its mental wellness patch programs for girls — programs that build emotional awareness and coping skills. - ➤ At 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Tybee Island Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 203 Butler Avenue where firefighters extinguished a garage blaze and no occupants were hurt, though one firefighter was injured by a hose coupling (he was transported to a hospital). WTOC 11

- ➤ Savannah celebrated 114 years of Girl Scouts at the Historic First Girl Scout Headquarters on Wednesday, Mar. 11, marking the anniversary of the organization founded in 1912. - ➤ Effingham County High School Rebel Regiment will board buses Sunday for a journey to New York City where they will march as lead in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday, March 17. The band earned Grand Champion at every competition this season and held fundraisers to support the trip. WJCL
