  • Community members gathered Saturday at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church to honor Dr. Linda Davis, a special education teacher at Hesse K-8 School who was killed last month, with Savannah Mayor Van Johnson and the school principal sharing heartfelt memories (and celebrating her legacy).  WJCL

  • Saturday, March 7, Savannah residents attended the 7th annual Weeping Time African Unity Festival where Black-owned businesses, food, music, and local talent celebrated culture and honored community history (167th anniversary of a painful sale). Organizers said the event turns past tragedy into future growth.  WJCL
  • Savannah is gearing up for the 2026 St. Patrick's Day parade on Tuesday, Mar. 17. City officials will set up command posts Friday, Mar. 13 plus host food trucks and marshals on event days throughout the weekend.  Savannah Morning News
