- ➤ Rev. Paul E. Smith announced his candidacy for re-election as District 5 representative on the Savannah-Chatham County Public School Board. - ➤ A ground-penetrating radar survey found over 80 burial anomalies beneath Whitefield Square — confirming long-held beliefs that the park sits on a historic sacred ground. City officials have formed a committee to plan respectful preservation steps for the space. WJCL
