  • Volunteers completed the annual Point-in-Time count on Jan. 29 and officials expect the data may show progress in reducing homelessness. The updated count will guide federal funding & be shared at a meeting in May.  Savannah Morning News
  • An Iranian-American woman using the alias Ronak spoke on Forsyth Park after weekend attacks in Iran and said Iranian voices must be part of the discussion. She shared that phone line outages had left her uncertain about her husband’s family and hopes her message represents many who feel unheard.  WJCL

  • Every March, historic Savannah hosts an iconic St. Patrick's Day parade featuring 350 entries that honor a tradition dating back to 1824 (nearly 200 years old). The event transforms downtown streets into a sea of green where locals enjoy their rich cultural heritage.  Savannah Morning News

  • The Georgia Department of Health released restaurant inspection scores (Jan. 14 to Jan. 20 and Feb. 17 to Feb. 24) for Chatham County. A popular new bakery in Savannah scored lower than nearby eateries, prompting continued reviews of food safety practices.  Savannah Morning News
