- ➤ Chef Joe Randall, known as 'The Dean of Southern Cuisine,' died at 79 on Saturday, Feb. 14 in Savannah. A visitation and Celebration of Life service (Feb. 27 at The Adams Chapel and Feb. 28 at St. Paul CME) are scheduled for family and friends to honor his legacy in Southern cooking. - ➤ The City of Savannah Municipal Archives launched StoryRoots (Mapping Savannah’s History), a community project that invites residents to share local historical sites via an online form. Participants may upload pictures and documents to help build an interactive map of our shared heritage. WTOC 11
- ➤ The 33rd American Traditions Vocal Competition kicked off Tuesday as 12 of 24 singers performed American music in Savannah. Quarterfinals continue this afternoon — judges will reduce the field to 12 advancing to Thursday's semifinals. WJCL
- ➤ The Colonial Dames are hosting Savannah’s 10th Annual Antiques and Architecture Weekend, a three-day series of tours, presentations and events set for early March to support local historic sites + keynote guest India Hicks will speak. Savannah Business Journal
